Sorry to hear your Op was Cancelled real mind f**k don't let it take you to dark places.

I have L4 &L5 punctered into the spinal cord and Arthropothy of the spine including phsoratic arthritus as well no chance of improvement just lots of drugs.

With your meds are you on Amatriptolyn??? it helps to relax your muscels and really helps you too sleep i'm on 75ml too 100ml if i'm having a really bad day, Hope this helps bro.

your op day will be here before you know it.

If you aint on the amatritolyn get on to your doc today you wont believe the difference it makes

                  All the best

amitriptyline certainly is the way to go ... it's a fantastic drug that has very few recognisable negative side effects and can be given in higer doses up to 300 safely ... my partner takes this along with std codeine based painkillers for her back problem and as it adjusts neurological functions it helps support her other medicines that are prescribed for mental health issues.

Solved my back problem quite easily.

Hit by an out of control Racing Car at about 45MPH.

Broke my pelvis in 3 places. Cracked a vertebrae 4/5 area & solved a 30 year back problem & wearing corsets.

Painful treatment & 2 years of mental problems. But it worked.

                        I'M ALIVE!!

                        Hi guys,

im pleased to report that im back home again and have even nearly completed the project i began before surgery!! (check the under construction section!)

i cant speak highly enough of the staff at the hospital, particularly the HDU, and theatre team.

Although morpheined up to the eyeballs, i was concious just an hr post op. I spent a while living with my parents and returned home yesterday to see how things go. I also had the sutures out of my wound the other day and the healing of that looks good.

Obviously my throat is very swollen and bruised internally and ive got to wear a collar for 6 weeks but im pleased with how things are working out. My larynx is about 2 inches to the right but im hoping thats just swelling. Septmeber 17th im seeing the surgeon for more x-rays and to see how things are progressing.

Ive been doing lots of exercises to restore my right upper body mobility which is very painful, but ive managed to come off all my pain medication and manage with high strength ibuprofen..the oromorph, dihydrocodeine etc did its job but made me feel quite ill and really messed with my body.

The relief when i discovered that i could still move my toes had me in tears. The surgeon told me that when he opened me up the disc looked like it had 'exploded' and apparently there was debris all over my spinal column. He also mentioned that it was one of the worst he'd ever seen as the nucleus had also pushed backwards onto my spinal chord causing my pain and nerve compression!

Its been such a humbling experience and i have such a huge debt of gratitude to everyone. Ive become a blood donor as its the only way i can really give anything back.

Day by day im gradually getting better..

Thank you everyone for your kind and supportive comments, youre a great bunch of lads and its given me a lot of encouragement.

                        :respect1:

Got all in front of you now.Enjoy the rest of your life. From my son I know it is a dodgy operation so got to thank the surgeons who do a remarkable job.

                            Happy model making.
