    are there any other women here

    m just interested to know if there are other woman about. it would be nice to know as i actually havnt even met any women in my life that have an interest in things like this. infact, my mates dont get my interest. by trade im a hairdresser so i have a feminine career..but my interests are quite strange to some people. and im so happy to have a son, as im looking forward to the lego..ect. :clap:

      Think there is at least one Cheryl but Ian the moderator will know that.

      There are others but they are a bit strange------ joking.

      My wife is a hairdresser retired long ago she could not manage me & hairdressing. Still cuts my hair & has been for 51 (long) years.

      Ban Lego Cheryl. 2 of my Grandsons must have about £1500 of lego it will bankrupt you another set every week.

          We did have another female in our ranks, ladypheonix, but alas We have not seen or heard from her in a long time- And she was in the middle of a really good build too!

          I also know that a couple of the members wives (that just sounds so wrong reading that back, lol) build as well...maybe they can be tempted to join in the fun a little more if they know they are not alone...?

          Failing that Cheryl, you'll just have to put up with us menfolk...

              thanks for the replys you two.. i honestly hate the hairdressing now.. i always get people asking me to do their hair..ive learnt not to tell the world what my job is or they all want haircuts. :lol ive got my own lego so i will save it for my son. but yeah its too expensive. it would be nice if others wives joined. its nice to know other women like this kind of thing too. and im ok putting up with the menfolk. less bitching! :lol

                      Didn't the Danes invent it ? Isn't it still made in Denmark ?

                              Meccano. Best thing before sliced bread.

                              More inventive, imaginative & tested the patience.

                              Brought up on it & born clutching set number 1 my father was standing there with set 2 already opened.

                                  kiddicraft (a UK company) made interlocking blocks two years earlier in 1947. as the story goes lego nicked the idea and made them out of plastic.

                                  lego was the name of the company that made wooden toys before they made the bricks.

                                  I did a web site years ago for the midlands lego group and had to research it a little for the intro page.
