    Singles or bulk buys?

Its been pointed out to me that I have got into the habbit of buying at least 2 of everything, paints, tools, even started to buy bulk coffee stirers ( 1000 ) and 3 sets of brushes, not that I will misuse them but I dont want to be looking for may favourite brushs and finding the are no longer available!

So please tell me I am not alone and not crazy

It looks like we are all the same.

Most recently with me it was the £5 bargain "gold" airbrushes that someone pointed out on here - I purchased one and found it worked so well i have now purchased another four just in case - but i'm still only using the first one.

I probably have enough stock of most things for several years - like 500 pipettes, 100 razor blades, thousands of swann morton blades dotted about.

Come the end of civilisation i'll be bunkered up....still knocking out models.

I hate running out of something so I will always have, say, a bottle of a particular product in use and a spare for when that runs out and as soon as it does, I buy another spare. That said, with Mr Cement S I have two spares in case it is unavailable when a bottle runs out....

I picked up a box of 1000 for about £2 a couple of years ago. I took a few handfuls to Cosford and dished them out to some of the guys. As far as I'm aware, Ron (Spanner570) is the only person who has used any of them. Rumour has it that some folks waste them by using them to stir coffee; but not our Ron. He put them to excellent use in a couple of his dios - he's not daft you know! :lol

I've still to find a use for them but I've got some ideas .......

Noooo! I never buy in bulk.......Oh hang on a minute I just found this.

That means that Gaz and I now have 1000 of these between us !!!!

Then there's the paints, always buy 1 tinlet and 1 spare. The scalpel blades, cheaper when you buy a load, glues and just about anything else. I just counted 5 matt varnishes though a couple may no longer be serviceable.

I don't have 1000 coffee stirrers but I'm right up there with the cocktail sticks

I rest assured I am not crazy after all, lol, I have a mere 100 pipets. I do buy paints in 2's and started collecting 2 of every Mig pigment then plan to move onto the washes lol.
