    Which plane?

    Hi

Unlike you guys I'm not able to ID planes - I just build them. Can one kind soul please indentify the plane in the pic above. I'm just about to complete the vehicle, including the two men, one with yellow hair, and I fancy doing my first diorama. Having no imagination, I thought I'd do the plane in the picture.

Sorrry there are two pics. I cannot get rid of one of them!

    Many thanks

    Aidan

Hi aidan , as doggy says its a Focke Wulf fw 190 , an A or F type. If youre wanting to do another similar small scene , how about the Academy 1/72 FW190 complete with a Kubelwagen.Focke Wulf FW-190A8 "Heinz Bar" & Kubelwagen 1:72 Scale Model Kit 2213 Academy | eBay You would have to get your own figures if you wanted people in it but at well under a tenner its a cheap enough starting point , cheers tony

I'm amazed at the build quality and yet you weren't even bothered what it was. Amazing stuff.

            It's a Fw 190 A or F-8.

I can't tell more from the piccies but the markings are post September 1944.

            Cheers

            Steve

Thanks Steve. The Kubelwagen is 1:48 scale so I'll be looking out for a same scale Fw190.

Hi aidan , ive always found Academy to be very nice fitting , well detailed , good value kits. Some people have had problems with the decals being a bit stiff but all the ones ive done have been ok. cheers tony
