Hi all,
Just took delivery today of a new book (to me) all about the Spitfire Mk1 P9374.
Looks a very good read and loaded with some lovely photos ranging from right back in the day of 1940 up to the rescue, renovation and reintroduction to the flying display circuit this year.
One reason I bought it was to hopefully find out some info. regarding P9372 which I have an interest in and wish to construct a model of, and I wasn't disappointed. and covers a few pages of said plane with dates, data and photos due to both planes being built and delivered to 92Sqd at the same time.
Anyway, back to the original title of the book. For anyone wishing to read an interesting account of 92Sqn first day of battle and the resulting story of this plane from loss, discovery and restoration, plus the pilots that flew her and alongside then it looks a fine read.
The ISBN number is 978-1-908117-06-9.
Maybe a stocking filler for Christmas
Atb, Colin.
