Unable to post or attend IPMS

Its very unlikey that I wil be building anything for a long while or attending the show this weekend, sadly my mom passed away this morning and though she was unwell it was an utter shock to all the family. Before she went into hospital 12 days ago she came into my room and said when she felt better she would have a good look at the model I was building, its my Mosquito. She never came back home, I'm devestated and cannot face sitting at my bench right now looking at the Mosquito to be completed, a couple of friends have said to attend just to wander around but right now its all too upsetting.

I will be online a lot looking at your builds as my PC helps me through tough times and I hope to be back building in good time

so sorry for your loss Adrian.

When you feel like getting back to the bench then maybe you could complete your Mosquito with the intention of it being a little rememberance of the good lady.

A very sad moment Adrian. Mother & Father bring us into this world & shape us in their own way as an extension of themselves & have that unconditional love for their offspring which at times hurts like mad. As I have found. But that has not gone it will always be there for you to use as they have shown you.

I cannot tell how you are feeling as our feelings all work in so many different ways. I have a very loving wife, four children & four grandsons & but for my own mother & father they would not exist for me. So they have left me happy & content in what I have & with a hope that I can pass on that which they have given to me.

I think of them many times. Poignant times, sad times, funny incidents & all they gave me in life. I can feel sad & just laugh out loud about all of that. I love them for all of that. I have never thought of them in my mind as gone just still looking over me.

I often read the last two verses of Leo Marks Poem

                          A sleep I shall have

                          A rest I shall have

Yet death will be but a pause

For the peace of my years

                          In the long green grass

Will be yours & yours & yours.

                          Hold tight to that Adrian.

                          Laurie
