Come on guys, look at the quality and workmanship in that steam plant. Imagine the sweat and tears, feel the burnt fingers, picture the relief valve whizzing past my ear when I forgot to tighten it down. You know it deserves to win.

Well done to all the entrants, in the end a fair result I’d say.

To decide whom I’d vote for I used two methods, first the objective method:

I considered the Little Toot to be the best “model”, Bunkerbarge’s was more an engineering job, none the less impressive for that, pretty well “even Stevens” really, but then it is a modelling site after all.

                          Then the subjective method:

                          I’m an aeromodeller!

Only 17 votes, does this mean that there are only that number of “regular” visitors to the site? To enter the competition took some trouble, uploading photos etc, but voting was just one click. Perhaps the computer was “out of bounds” for some over the Xmas festivities!

Thanks guys, all a bit of fun.

Greyhead, I actually agree with your thinking but unfortunately I haven't got any other model pictures with me at the moment and I am 2500 miles away from home for a while! I only submitted them to generate some interest and after all "model engineering" is all part of what we do.

Next time we will try to generate some more voters, somehow!!
