    Unexpected Moving Day!

My apartment lodgings have a hot-water circulating system, with sensors that have recently been upgraded; they connect to the individual apartment water control behind a panel in the closet between bedroom and bath. Old rot was found beneath the flooring during this upgrade, so I had to be moved out to allow repairs (this 55 and up housing is just a notch above "Waiting For God" (a "Beeb show," IIRC) and is a tax-shelter, so there are many regulations as to what must be done and how).

I've repeated a previous shot of my old living room with model-work going on, and include two others, one before and one just after moving to another apartment in the opposite building across the central patio.

    Before (1)

It was a hasty move, so I got all the extra-delicate, hand-carry by myself and trusted Home Healthcare Aide, arranged on the kitchen bar. Before (2)

The new lodging is the same layout, but the symetrical balcony puts that outward-facing side of the wall just backwards, which means that the telephone wall-plug goes to the opposite wall, and so must my computer, thus reversing my living room arrangement by 180 degrees! After :

As you can see, there is a while of un-packing and organizing to do; tiring, but also it's a new perspective, an extra window in the workroom (extra bedroom) on the end wall, last apartment at the top of the building, on the top-floor with the higher ceilings. Will take getting used to, and not sure if I'll stay here; there's possible overheating problems in summertime, and we've had a warm fall, too. It's too far above and away from the patio to greet fellow residents as they traverse the patio with more than a wave, etc. I have first option to move back to my old apartment when it's legally re-habitable, but I'll just have to take things a day at a time and cross that bridge when I come to it, but no one really enjoys moving that much, and moving is now rated right up next to divorce in stress level!

Got to go, it will take some time to catch up with modeling and life in general.

    Regards, John

    Hi John,

Sorry to hear that you've had to move, I'm like you, hate it, I used to have to do it all the time in the Forces so you never really get settled...

It's also good to hear that you've got the option to move back once the work has been completed though, you never know you might start to enjoy this new apartment, with it having the extra window you'll have more natural light coming in, does it have a better/nice view with it being on the top floor, you could also tell people you live in a Penthouse...:sunglasses2:

Anyway, I do hope all goes well for you...

I hope it all works out for you in the end John, good luck with it all and keep us informed about the situation, we can't do much about it physically as we're on the other side of the pond but we can offer moral support which is as good in my opinion.
