James May's "Toy Stories" Glider flight

Great little programme just been on. Anybody watch it?

Yes it was brilliant. Brought back many memories of building a Slingsby balsa plane. Having to pin down all those formers to the plan which, in turn, was stuck to a board. Covering the whole thing with tissue, then filling the house with the smell of dope. The elastic motor.......

I'm going to catch that on iPlayer.

My Mum sat on not one but TWO KK Pixies! I gave up after that.

Quite interesting but a few niggles. May kept refering to toy aircraft and he really needs to read up on airspeed and groundspeed and which is which.

Just watched it. Quite emotional. The trouble is, it has reminded me of balsa wood, tissue paper, dope and a rubber band in days long ago. Perhaps I could just spend a moment looking into it and then.... No. Too many hobbies!

Considering he actually has a pilots licence, I find that quite disturbing.. :-/
