    Looking for a little help

Hi all I am new to this forum my names Rik.

I have been modeling for a few years now (30 somthing)

recently I have become ill and it is with a very sad heart I will be needing to move models on to new homes that will love them as I did.

I have collected quiet a few over the years so I was hoping people could give me some idears as to what I could ask for the models I have I dont know what most of them are worth and really dont want to sell them but I have to as I will never get round to making them now.

    Hers the list so far

    2x Hasegawa 1/48 Phantoms F4F and a F4J both in boxes

1x 1/48 DC-130 Hercules Director with drones Italeri

1x Trumpeter 1/350 Enterprise aircraft carrier (Chinese version with english manual) I also have the full white ensign PE add-ons for this and 2 deck aircraft boxes hornets and intruders.

    1x Italeri 1/72 mig 29 Fulcrum A

1x Revell Star Trek USS Enterprise NCC-1701

    1x Hasegawa Tornado GR Mk1 1/72

    1x Academy 1/72 Hawker Typhoon Mk.1B

I am not trying to sell these on here I am just asking what to put them up for on ebay. I dont want to tread on the shops toes so please dont think that.

Any help would be great, It may not be me that replys on here it may be my wife it depends on how I am but she knows very little about models so I had to do this bit.

If this post is not ok then please delete it

    many thanks Rik

Rik all i can say is if you look on the net for the kits you have you should get a rough price of them so then its up to you how much extra to add for any after market stuff thats with them good luck with it

Sorry to hear about your difficulties Rik.

I took a quick look at Ebay & Amazon with the Hercules. Ebay had an international seller asking £155.

On Amazon £55 but not sure if it had drones or if the same model. Assume new in both cases.

But just shows the difficulty in finding a value.

I would say try & find the lowest brand new cost. I would then put it on Ebay for 50% of that. But first with the lower cost items to see how it goes & if you have pitched it correctly.

You could put it as an auction item but with a minimum cost.

Not sure that helps all that much but gives some ideas at least the way I would tackle it. Will be seeing my youngest son tomorrow who has sold a lot of items (when he gets short of cash ) & if he has any further advice will pass it on to you.

It would be helpful for other on the forum if you would let us know your results.

2x Hasegawa 1/48 Phantoms F4F and a F4J both in boxes you can probably put them on e-bay for £25 each and they will sell. I have seen them go for upto £50

1x 1/48 DC-130 Hercules Director with drones Italeri I believe this sells for around the £60 mark. So if you set a start price of around £30-35 that should move.

1x Trumpeter 1/350 Enterprise aircraft carrier (Chinese version with english manual) I also have the full white ensign PE add-ons for this and 2 deck aircraft boxes hornets and intruders. There is one on e-bay for USD45 from China, so you could easy ask £30 for the ship alone. The White Ensign PE costs £55 so you could ask 25 and get your arm ripped off! the sets of aircraft, throw them in with the carrier. £90 all in would be a fair price.

I hope this is of some help to you. I hope that you get things sorted.

I know that the forum does not normally allow new members to sell on the forum, but as you have written you are not trying to sell them here, so I can see no problem with your post at all.

I would if I had the cash help you out and buy a couple, but alas my wallet is reeling from the effects of Christmas. Maybe some of the other members are better placed. If so I would suggest that they contact you via a private message.
