    hi all

    i am new to this forum

    please can any one tell me the shelf lift of the tamiya paints

    as i used to do models about 20 year ago and i what to start it up again

    i still have some models from then and a lot of tamiya paint i was hoping i can still use them if possable

    Only one way to find out. Try them on either an old kit or some primed plastic boxes.

    I have some Humbrol enamel paints that are 30 years old and still produce good results. I have some that are a couple of years old and unusable.

    I have very little experience of tamiya paints so can not comment on those.

      It will depend how they've been stored. If they have been properly closed (or never been opened) and stored at average temperatures they should be fine. I'd second Ian though,do a quick test on something other than your latest pride and joy
