    Water Effects

Hi All, I received some easy cast clear casting resin for Christmas and have the intention to use it on my Autumn diorama. Has anyone out there ever used it? and could you please tell me any pros/cons.Having never done any water effects I am a bit reluctant to go ahead without some advice.

    Many Thanks for your help

hi mate, i have used one called polylite clear casting resin and it worked really well, dont know if its similar to the stuff you have but most important thing is leave it alone once poured and dont be tempted to put your finger on it to see if its dry because it probably wont be..sods law and a 1:1 scale fingerprint is never gonna look good in a puddle.my can says its sets in a few hours but all though it felt hard the following morning it still took a fingerprint. i left mine for a few days in the end.oh and the smell is very strong.obviously make sure it has nowhere to run away to .

this is the thread i used it in if you want have a look.

Thanks Andy I have had a read of the thread and it has come in very handy already, I didn't even give a thought to colouring the water (but i will now) and your dio is very impressive. I am also considering doing a small test vignette. Many thanks for your reply.

      Cheers Jim
