Do you mean life boat or raft.

If you want a WWII life raft you will need to look for Carley Floats. or search patent no. us734118.

They where made in a variety of sizes, most where oval but there was also square and rectangular ones. If you find a good model one let me know I would like a couple.

They are by there nature very hard to make well in small sizes, as they are all rope, knots and nets!

I have a Walrus to build and wanted to do it rescuing a crew if possible I was gonna try and scratch build a raft as I figure that there may not be any in kit form for 1:48th out there

Ah! Now I would think that a Walrus would not have a carley float but I imagine that you could find/make a rubber life raft a la RAF out of a bit of milliput or the like.

If the party being rescued is to be from a ship, I think you could actually find a dingy or row boat in that scale. I'll have a look at a few of my resources and see if I can find some thing.

You need to look for WW2 RAF Dinghy

This was just about the first thing that came up!
