hi guys , just had a eureka moment, now some of you have probably allready thought of this but what the hell, i am so happy with my self that i will share it anyway.i just yesterday started a german something i cannot pronounce vehicle,which has lots of wheels. of course these have rubber around the rims so i sprayed the whole lot a sand colour and then set about painting the black rims, well i made a mess of them, so i decided to try and cut masks from masking tape with a compass cutter, i made a mess of them too. so i resprayed the lot sand again and set to with a 00000 size brush, jesus how boring and look at all those wheels lined up ready for painting. then i realised that sat in front of me on my shelves were loads of bottles of mixed items, all having different size lids. after trying a few different sizes i found one that fit perfectly. five minute later all my wheels were done,so easy and so quick.
so dont ever throw any small lids away,stick em in a little box and you have easy ready made masks for tank wheels.
