Yes Dave, I tend to look on Modellingmadness before buying anything and I'm a fan of Academy 1/72 aircraft. My budget is around £10 at the moment, it will increase when I think I can do a bigger kit justice. It tends to be the impulse buys (like the Revell bi-planes) that I live to regret.
The Revell cure...

Originally posted by \Overall its not too shabby, just a bit different from what I'm used to. I have run into a small snag with converting the tamiya 262 pilots into the Ar-234 crew. They fit in the seats reasonably well (the armrests bow out a little), but the pilot does not quite fit the cockpit because of the position of the control yoke. I had to cut his legs off at the knees and then reattach them to the rudder pedals past the obstructions. It looks a little odd up close but I don't care I'm doing it anyway and besides they were pretty well at the bottom of the barrel in men and materials by this point so ...why not?Comment

Vaughan - don't let this put you off that JU88 THAT much.... It will build into a very impressive model and will have a lot of impact. Just be prepared to have to work for a result, its no shake 'n bake... As I said, I am spoilt...
I have heard of that wing root issue with the Stormovik, all kits do have issues after all. I am not adverse to such matters, even the Tammy Mustang had its own issues but what a great kit it is. The good thing about the JU88 is that my test fits of major parts show few issues, it really is the vagueness of detail fit combined with misleading and poor illustrations on the instructions that are frustrating. Anyway, off upstairs now, a quick bite to eat and back to the fight and get the undercarriage finished....Comment
