What about the Airfix motors designed to go into the 1/24th scale models? They operate on simply spinnin gthe prop so they don't require a switch and are a very small and compact little motor. Failing that the Chinese toy helicopters around nowadays have some unbeleivably small motors driving the tail rotors, try to get hold of a damaged one of them and you have a useful supply of bits and pieces.
It would be a lot easier if we knew how much room there is in the nacelles. I know its a big ol bird, but not in the know about how much room you have to play with.
An easy to find small motors, are old RC servo motors, old electric train motors, slot car motors?
If you look on YouTube, some bodies built a 1/48 Herc with motorised props, lights and working cargo ramp.Doesnt help you I know, but worth a look all the same...'Scale model - Hercules C-130 (Motorized)'
