    Now thats a Frightning!

Although I am not in the habit of linking to other model sites, as I feel the content here is more than adequate, I just had to share this.

Its an EE Lightning T4 with a little bit of scratch building to pimp it up a bit.

Well worth the time to look at. The text is in German but Google translate does an OK job of turning it into English. Sort of. lol

English Electric Lightning T.MK.4, Airfix 1:48 von Dirk Heyer

Any one want a 1/48 frightning I have two that I am now less enthusiastic to build.... :-/

I'm still trying to get hold of a twin tub for one of mine.

I love the open avionics bays.

One of my bosses actualy whent up into orbit in one of these. He won the trip at a charity do. Unfortunatly the pilot who took him up is now dead he died in a test flight of another plane that he crash landed into the ocean to avoid killing innocent people in the nearby town.

I saw the video he had done of the day and it was very impressive with incockpit view - you could actually see the planet from the cockpit, well impressive,

It certainly gives us mere mortals something to strive for. What stunning detail and realistic paint finishes. Thanks for sharing it Ian, I'm going to sit an a dark place for a while and contemplate this!
