Scenario:... Im in town today with my 2 sons and notice a spitfire Mk2 in 1:32nd scale reduced to £17.00 in a shop window...obviously I want it, but have no cash on me.
So..... I borrow a £10 note from each of my sons, buy the model and get £3.00 change. From the £3.00 change I give each son 1 pound coin back and keep the other one.
I now owe son 1 £9.00 and son 2 £9.00...a total of £18.00 still to be paid back. I have the 1 pound coin in my pocket......£18.00 plus 1 pound is £19.00...WHERE IS THE OTHER £1 !!
