    Modelzone

Just been to Modelzone at Lakeside shopping centre. Some bargains in there like the Revell 1/32 HE111 for £39.99 .But I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw they are selling the old Tamiya 1/48 Lancaster BIII for £104!!!.Surely nobody is daft enough to pay that much for one?.

Model Zone here in Hull selling a selected load of kits 3 for 2 including revell 1/32 He 219, MIG 29, lynx, Arado 196, He 111, 1/48 Ta 154 mistal etc..

I wanted some plasicard and various Greens plastic sprue items 'I' beam etc. but none on display. When I enquired about this was told they weren't a good seller so no longer stocking.

Lots of gaps on the shelves and when I asked as to the gaps was told having problems getting new stock !!!!!!!!

I heard a rumour that MZ are struggling financially which might explain all the offers they have been promoting and the comment about trouble getting new stock. My local one in Amazingstoke hasn't seen much new model railway or plastic model stock for a while.
On the bench: Airfix 1/48 Sea King HC4, Revell 1/24 Trabant.
Coming soon: Airfix 1/72 Phantom FGR2.
Just finished: Airfix 1/48 Stuka & Airfix 1/72 Sea King HC4.
