Thinning aqua colour

Just a quick question regarding thinning paints. I haven't used revell yet but hopefully will be shortly. So do I need to use their thinner or can I use tap water? I also have a few humbrol paints that will need thinned. I've been told water is ok. Also I thin my tamiya 50 50 but I see revell suggest a thinner ratio.

Revell Aqua colour can be thinned with water .Says so on the side of the pot.I use tap water roughly 50/50.works fine with my .5 nozzle.

Incidently do you rate the revell paints?

I've only got one.I bought it because the shop I went to only had the colour I wanted in the Revell aqua colour range.But having used it I think it's pretty good.Will Definately be getting some more.Sprayed the mk9 Spitfire in my gallery with it (grey colour)

i thin using tamiya thinners rather than water as i find i get better results and really like the paints, i have all of them.the only problem i have is that the metallics are useless through an airbrush and dont like being thinned. for metallics i use the tamiya paints which go through an airbrush perfectly, have not tried any other paints yet.
