    Dragon Gen2 figure kits

I ordered some Dragon Gen 2 kits that I was going to include in my Normandy diorama but have now decided against it. Only one of the kits was available and the poses they are in wouldn't look right without the other kit.

Anyway, after opening the box and seeing how good these figures actually are I've decided they need a diorama of their own!

I'd heard the Gen2 kits were much better but I have to say, I'm amazed at the level of detail.

I've attached some photos but I don't know how clear they'll be.

The pistol holsters have US "embossed" on them, the faces are extremely detailed and there are lots of extras (weapons, PE straps, etc).

The rifles can be modelled opened or closed in case you want to show one of the guys in the process of loading.

I now need to put these guys in my wardrobe to wait for their vehicle...anyone got any suggestions on what that should be?

I've never done armour before so I have no idea where to start.

The detail looks great, but are the heads in two parts? looks to me that the face and head are separate. Could give a nasty 'scar'.

AS for the transport, I would guess either a Jeep, or half-track.

Yeah, the face and head are separate, not too sure how they'll look once they're together but I' m sure some glue or filler will do the job.

Gen 2 are great figures, I however hate the split head, but if you can get your hands on some hornets heads, then they really do bring the figure to life, look forward to seeing your work on these figures Drew, shame there not German...lol

That was my second option Ray, I was going to see how they went then if I couldn't get the heads looking good enough I was going for the Hornet heads to replace them.

I've decided on the diorama for them, I'm going to have them unloading their kit from the back of a truck and setting up a machine gun position. With the poses they are in it's quite difficult to come up with a suitable situation for them.

This diorama could change as I have a few I want to get done before then...seriously, my stash is building up...ebay is a nightmare when you can get new kits that would normally cost £10+ for £1.99 in an auction it's too good too resist (Sunday morning around 9am is usually a good time) I just hope my wife believes me...

Must not buy any more until my current project is complete, it's going to be difficult though, I've got to buy some paints...must resist tempatation to "save on postage" by ordering a van full!
