Not only a big gun Vaughan.
Look at that "heap" of unmade models on the floor & on the shelves.
Dave you are going to have to put in some overtime to complete those.

So this begs the question - is 1/35 scale Dora the biggest plastic model kit around. Note 'plastic' I know there's bigger remote things around.
And well done to all for keeping it clean when Dave showed us his big......................oops nearly...........

Gern,
Thanks for posting the picture I am impressed, I'd not heard of Soar Art before although I see from their Website they produce a 1/144 scale Yamato (another contender for the largest kit? 6ft long) which I seem to remember reading about I think on Modelwarships.com, I guess this must be the same one as their can't be many 1/144 Yamato kits about!
I don't know if the photo does full justice to the size of the Dora as the Leopard, being a large kit, makes the Dora look smaller than it must be, perhaps a 1/35 tank next to them would give a truer picture of their size.

that i have Andy and i can't get into the shed due to the box size. the kit is 7 feet long and when the gun is fully raised i think it stands about 2-3feet high.

Here you go Malcolm. An M26 and SdKfz234, both in 1/35 for comparison. You can also see the figure on top - he is also 1/35.

PS Apologies Colin. Your original thread seems to have been hijacked!

Zinc Chromate is a common primer for aluminium.
Cheers Derek
p.s. you will find a nice shiny B-36 in this website, go to the cold war section, mouse over until you find the -063 buttom.
