    Went on Holiday

To Wales & we go self catering to give maximum flexibility.

Place dirty & for instances cooker burnt in bits on the stainless steel hob food on china. Nasty Left after 36 hours. Shame nice area in Pembrokshire.

Down to Devon where we have stayed before & clean & nice & paid very little more. Not a go at Wales just unlucky.

After a couple of days thought I had better let the owner, she had about 5 or six other units, know that we had left & why. Nothing about getting the money back as we had decided it was a lost cause. But all repaid in 6 hours into our bank.

Next. Sainsbury supermarket. Not busy. Not knowing the rules being outback Jersey people presented ourselves at the basket only checkout by accident. Decanted 80% of goods onto the checkout top. No, she said, cannot take the goods as they come from a trolley must be a basket. We were astonished. Put goods back in trolley & moved away a couple of yards. Spyed & grabbed a basket filled it from the trolley & re-presented at the checkout. People who had taken out turn at the checkout fell about laughing at our antics. When our turn came assistant furious plonked out milk marmalade etc with a thud on the counter. O dear so funny.

Morrisons next (another day not that greedy). All goods in basket. Went into the sandwish dept. near exit. Chose sandwishes etc. & found quickest way to return to checkout with our trolley through the do it your self checkout deserted except for an elderley assistant who demanded we return from whence we came as trolleys were not allowed in her area. We continued as we only had two further steps to get out of the area.

So next we went to some Botanical Gardens. Sounded good & it was. That is until we thought of a nice lunch. Yes a nice omlette & you expect quality in a Botanical Garden. Whoops no. Omlette looked as though it had been made, some older may know it, from packet egg powder with a twist made to look taste & feel like rubber. Changed for sandwiches.

Car very new.. Horrible noise when reaching 60mph. Grew worse by the mile. Found mudguard lining at the front had started to come away & the noise was it being nibbled by the tyre. Nice people in the exaust centre cut it away for nothing. All plain sailing, for two days, except that the other side developed similar symptoms.

All but knocked a cyclist over who was overtaking on the inside.

    So came home !

Eventful holiday would have made good viewing on TV better than a lot of the stuff on there at the moment . You sound just like my mum n dad who are also in there seventies my dad could make a TV programme all of his own but you are now safely back home in Jersey which is so much better than the uk :funnypost:

                Er um er Andy.

Been there 3 times. First time it was cold. Second time the wind did blow although we had no snow.

Third time we went back to England after 48 hours after rampant non stop rainfall. As the rain came with thick mist we could have been any where but we guessed it was Wales.

Been to Denbigh Andy. Cannot remember the weather though.

Nice & warm in Jesey bit overcast but shirt sleeve weather. Think I will take holidays in North Jersey in future. Joking I like England Wales & Scotland. After all I am English.

Yes you are right Andy. First time stayed at a place called Towyn. Went all over the west & up to the north & very enjoyable. Did not rain much either.
