Yes I've been playing again, I noticed the new style was full of bugs, certain things missing and if you was logged out there was about 4 login boxes, all styles are still there just choose which you want from the drop down at the bottom, as for the search depending what style you are using it's either at the top or bottom.

Have you changed the embedded advertising too?

It just used to be text links which was ok, the choice was yours whether to click or not and they didn't distract from the site or attract your attention to much

Now we have full width, colour, flashing banners emblazing Gumtree, GiffGaff, Save the children etc all across the screen.

I know you have to help pay for the site somehow and this is one of the main ways of reducing costs, just seems a bit of a giant leap from one to the other

I dont watch TV primarily because i dont want every product and service rammed down my throat every 15 mins, now it seems i'm getting it on my favorite forum.

Don't take it personal, just voicing my opinion as is generally accepted on here ... unless i've over stepped the mark on this occasion in which case i'll take a reprimand

Like you say it's not cheap hosting a site when it's on a dedicated server, it's better than introducing a subscription service to part or all of the forum, and you shouldn't even see the banner at the top if you scroll to the top of the first post.

Personally I wouldn't hesitate in paying a subscription for a members area, if it meant getting ad free.

The problem I have is when I access the site from my tablet all I get is the header and a big advert banner. I don't even have your link to the shop on screen.

Still ... I've had a whinge, understand your situation, that's it from me

I have seen no such advertising Colin, I won't complain about missing out on that though
