    Sticking a decal back down

I have a decal that is lifting and I want to stick it back down?

the decal is on a 50 year old die cast model cyclist scale 1/43rd.

    What glue would you recommend?

I want something clear and rubbery, I don't want it to bond to the paint.

    Anyone got any suggestions?

    Welcome to the forum

PVA glue ... (carpenters wood glue, white glue for other names) would be my choice, its white when you put it on but dries clear and bonds well, also as it's water based it will often soften the decal slightly (it performed well on a lot of old die-cast stuff i've renovated)

Montello (apologies no christian name) what sort of decal is it ? An ancient one as the model or as new decals? Also in lifting has it expanded ie made an arch where it has lifted.

It is going to bond to the paint what ever you use. I take it you mean you want to be able to remove it if necessary leaving the paint in place ? If it is ancient perhaps a picture to make sure you do not spoil the decal beyond rrecovery.

Welcome by the way to the forum. Nice place to be.
