I have a real toddler now

Hi all i havent really been posting anything in a while as i have been run off my feet with work and my daughter. Finally after 19 months of hard work from nanny mum and me Mia has finally started walking on her own today, i have cried more in the short time since she has came along than i have ever done in my past life, and today she had me crying again as she stepped out on her own. Carrie is overjoyed and releaved in the same breath as we were told that she might need physiotherapy to help her walk on her own, that little girl has a stong will and she is still no bother to look after to boot.

What super news Scott. Well done to all three of you. I can tell from your post, you and Carrie are both proud and relieved that little Mia Grace is doing so well...

She is obviously a determined little angel, who's out to prove she can hack it! Give her a big hug from us(The last time I saw her she was in your motor on our drive).....I bet she's grown a pace since then?

Love to Carrie, take care and best wishes to you all from me and Justine.

I know exactly how you feel Scott , my son Paul has cerable palsy and we were told he would most Likly never walk or talk , it's an amazing feeling seeing him walk for the first time.

If you don't mind me asking how old is your toddler ? My Paul was four before he took his first steps.

She is 19 months old and my wife and i were becoming concerned that she had not even been attempting to walk unassisted before now. She has problems with her left kidney when my wife was at the 20 week scan, and it has been doctors appointments and constant test since. This is all quite mild by comparison by very worrying none the less, as my wife is an OCD sufferer it has made things harder on her.

I feel for you it can't be easy for you mate it can't be easy for you but just wait until you see your little girl run and ride a bike it's a wonderful feeling and makes all your hard work pay off.

Believe me every little improvement your daughter makes will make you feel more proud than any A grades or sport achivement can ever bring about.

This was a nice lift to a dismal day for the two of us Scott.

Best wishes to you and your good lady, and give little Mia a hug from us too.
