    Decals

A quick question if I may please?

Having applied a gloss coat and then added the decals, is it necessary to apply a second gloss coat over the decalled areas?

Or do I just then add the matt coat?

Also how long should I wait between affixing the decals and adding a coat of matt (or gloss)?

    Many thanks, as always

I apply a gloss coat over the decals prior to any weathering washes etc. I then seal the whole lot in with an appropriate final coat of varnish.

I always leave decals at least overnight following the last application of Microsol or similar before the varnish.

    Cheers

Yep, gloss coat, this protects the decal, as Steve points out, leave the decal over night to 'set' before applying any weathering etc, once left to dry again then you're ready for the final finish coat.
