    Looking for realistic/functioning model firearms

hey, does anyone know a good website/company to buy realistic functioning scale firearms? (by functioning I don't mean it has to shoot but the trigger, magazine, charging handle and anything else that can be manually pressed/moved on the real firearm moves)

Thanks so much, heres an example of one I found...

    and...

Not too bothered about the scale as long as it not too big

you would be hard pushed to find that sort of thing in the uk, especially 1:1 scale........i believe it comes under the replica firearms regs

i can remember a long time there was a few companies made some great kit (LS rings a bell)......i had alsorts from lugers to S&W 44, wonder what happened to them when i jacked in model making back then?

ive got a flintlock pistol kit in the stash somewhere, occasionally you see them come up on ebay

never seen those in the vids before.....

Do you have a specific scale in mind? 1:1 scale pre 1861 imitation firearms are still allowed as long as they're for house use only, display etc. Anything after 1861 you need to be a member of a re-inactors society or a museum or in film and TV, you also need to prove it.

I have a Movies collectable 1:1 scale diecast Colt 45 peacemaker with working trigger, loader, cartridge remover, cocking arm. The Mencool desert Eagle site is no longer working so doubt they are still active, besides getting one, even at that scale may prove difficult in this country.

Sounds like the firearms laws are a bit tighter these days.

Just a tad Ian! I believe toy guns for children must now be made in bright colours in case someone mistakes them for real ones.

Lets hope they dont figure out how to paint them. They'll ban paint.

              Hi Tac.

Probably not much use as I believe the company has gone out of business; but you might find some of their stuff knocking around - the Dora still pops up on ebay from time to time. (A great pity 'cos I was so looking forward to the Bismark and Akagi).

I know this is not much help but it's a bit of fun, i use'd to collect model gun's & stuff and i had a lot of them lots of hand guns.
