    A little sizing help please...

    Hi all,

I'd like to scratch build a small shed/garage in 1/24th scale, I have been looking at the Plastruct bits in the shop but have no idea what sizes would do, things like the I beam's etc and generally anything really that would do for 1/24th scale...

Many thanks for any help and information...

    Andy...

At 1/24 scale andy , 1" (25mm) = 2 foot so if an RSJ was 12" in real life it would be 1/2" in scale , any 'H' section plastruct of around 12mm would be near enough. 1mm at 1/24 scale is roughly equivalent to 1" in real life , so any joists ,rafters ,battens etc. can be easily worked out, for example a wooden coffee stirrer at 2mm x 6mm would be a scale 6"x2" joist . hope this helps cheers tony

Hi Andy, this may be of use to you, quick and easy. I use it and I am inherently lazy so it's of use I am sure: http://jbwid.com/scalcalc.htm
