de ja vu. thats what bought me here as well. it was very very usefull and i doubt i would have baught an air brush if i had not have read it. it gave me the confidence on knowing how to do it.
Glad to have you here, I am Greg and more than likely you read a posting by me inviting all of the nice people over at cardmodels.net to visit here. At the same time, I invited all of the people here to visit the cardmodels site.
I too am a cardmodeler and found this site sometime ago and thought that I would share my two favorite sites with my friends at each site.....kind of a "sister site" type thing. There are many cardmodelers who post here now and then and i am sure if you visit the cardmodels site often, you will see names from this site there.
To me, we are all "scale modelers" be they in plastic, wood, metal or card.
Anyway as you can tell, I tend to ramble abit, so again, welcome to the forum, if you have any questions feel free to ask, and by all means, comment on any topic you see here that catches your eye. If you have models, be they card or plastic, we'd love to see photos.
i found the site through papermodels.net, which i found through google! have kind of just stumbled into model making, and have made just one test paper model (robot from silent runnings! very obscure!) but am now hooked!
Hi Carrington and a very warm welcome to the Scale Models Forum.
It is always good to be able to welcome someone new to the hobby and be able to offer our services to you. Don't be afraid to ask questions and feel free to make the most of our resources such as the tutorials, gallery and build threads.
Glad to be here and thank you for your welcome John. I found the site via a link while I was looking for info on the Zlin 242. My main modeling interest is plastic models and mainly 1/72 scale although I do have a few 1/48 and 1/32 kits lying around. I am currently looking into producing a line of 1/72 and perhaps later 1/48 (if there is a sufficient market) scale light aircraft and particularly from the golden age. those twenty years produced more light types than the sixty years since WW2, although it is good to see many u;ltralight and light sport aircraft being designed and produced all over the world today.
