    Problem loading pictures

As the title says. When I look at a post, click on the pic's, they often fail to load. I can see the thumbs on the bottom of the window, but if I click on any of them, they don't load. Now this doesn't always happen, just most of the time. Does anyone else have this problem ?

They work but take ages to load. Click on the photo, take a few minutes to go do something else and they should be loaded when you come back. It's a frustrating aspect of the new system, I have noticed a lot more data usage since the change from the pictures here. I think posters are using full size images. If the images were shrunk/resized to a smaller scale then the load would occur much faster. If you click view image on any of the photos in that slide show thing you can see the original, some of them are poster size enormous things. I think someone may need to regulate the photo sizes to speed these viewers up and to save our data.

I've changed the max size of images to 800x800, you won't have to change your images it will automatically re-size them, it won't change the one's that have already been uploaded but I should be able to re-size them on mass server side.

I've just edited one thread, before the total space for all the images was just under 9MB after I had re-uploaded them it went down to 1/2MB

Let me know if anyone has any more problems.

Can I take it that everything is better since I made the changes?

                    Yes great John thanks.

Question is it me or can you only upload one file at a time ? On the Old system you could designate all the files you needed up loaded in one go.

You still can Laurie ... If you hold either your ''shift'' or ''ctrl'' key down as you click the images required on your computer it'll load all the highlighted images up at once.

Strange then Colin as I held the ctrl down but I could only choose one at a time. Also tired the shift & alt for the whole lot & that did not work.

                          Must have another go.

Hmmm the shift key and Ctrl key normally act as ''block'' and ''multi'' select on most keyboards.

Holding the key down continuously and clicking each image you require should highlight each file, they should stay highlighted as you click others, when you have the correct collection release the key and click the upload button.

Just tried it again & it is OK. Either a glitch in the system put right after booting this morning. Or the wireless transmitter battery needs a new battery.

                              Thanks Colin.
