    1/24 scale Hawker Typhoon...

Some will be happy about this. The BIG announcement from Airfix was indeed a 1/24 scale war bird.

    The Hawker Typhoon. Go Airfix.

Dave, If we are talking Tamiya standard in 1/24th scale this has to be a pretty superb kit. It will certainly go on my own list (and probably sit in the stash for a few years!)

Tamiya standard is a big standard to come up to. The engine detail looks superb though

Looks fantastic but why oh why don't Airfix produce some 32nd scale models. 24th scale is toooo big you'd need a hanger to store it.

It does look rather tasty. My thoughts are is the subject in the photo the master model, which will then be broken down to bits of plastic, or is it a test shot.

I know that they have a physical model at Telford but is that the model the punters will get..... I sure hope so.

The cockpit and motor look amazing.

My thoughts entirely. I think 1/32 is large, I build in 1/48 normally and think the shelves fill up way to quickly as it is.

We're going to need some 1/24 tanks and trains for it to shoot up now!!

That Typhoon is definitely on my wish list!!!

Love to build that and really go to town.

                            Awesome

Just throwing in this question does anyone know why Airfix have never produced planes in 32nd scale? If they did to the standard that Revell are now producing and it's obvious that they can if this Typhoon is anything to go on then there would a greater choice of maybe British planes.
