What would you like to see in 1/48th Scale aircraft?

Just been looking at the list of models on various internet sites and even though there are many 1/48 aircraft on offer I really would like to see a 1/48 Stirling. I know that the only Stirling available at present is the old reboxed many times Airfix 1/72. kit

I think that one in 1/48 would sit nicely with the Lancaster !!!

I have a 1/72 nimrod by airfix any the cockpit detail is fantastic , also you can buil this as the anti-submarine version and I have to say the detail for the bomb/torpedo bay is equally as good so I would like to see that in 1/48 scale

KC-135R, B-52, or even the B-2 would be impressive. Quite where you would put them once built is a diifferent story.

Sanger do a 1/48 vacuform kit of the Stirling.A lot of work and some good scratch building skills needed to make a good job of it though.

Just looked at the site that Dave mentioned, a lot of the forgotten kits that we would like to see are on there, however Vacufoam is not one of my favorite mediums I would prefer to see that hard plastic kit production of those mentioned within this thread, but for the more adventureous amongst us

Beaufort, Beaufighter, Blenhiem, FAIREY GANNETT. Sea Vixen faw 1.

A full line up of bomber commands heavies. While we are at it Coastal command as well!

A new tool line up of Mossies would be nice as well.

I've thought about doing the captured spit in a dio with German ground crew , in some photos I've seen that they painted them up like 109s

The Germans painted a few nazi markings on captured aircraft and then used those aircraft to infiltrate the American and British bomber streams, in the hopes of learning their tactics (and perhaps score a few easy kills on unsuspecting "friendlies").

But the British and Americans soon got wise to the trick, and their gunners started firing warning shots (that didn't miss by much) at any aircraft that attempted to join in formation that did not first identify itself.
