    My day at Telford 2013

I went on the Sunday, to miss the traffic as experienced one year which was horrendous I parked the car the other side of town said goodbye to Wife and daughter no 3 and walked through the town to the show. I reckon about a mile. Paid my £10 and I was in .I made straight for the last hall which contained some helicopters and tanks, real ones, making a mental note of that which I passed on the way in,

And then proceeded to walk up and down every single isle so that I walked passed everything. Stopped for 5 mins for the remembrance silence and the last post. I walked for 2 and a half hours so quick mental sum ,I reckon In the show I walked 3miles if not more. Timed it right to get in the competition room and walked round that .I immediately noticed the work of the person who got best in show last year and he got it again this year .Clever ,clever modeller. Frowned at some of the class winners. There was a lot of first class models in there.(I don't see why every body don't get a certificate at least ).

Bought about £40 worth of stuff, bought a magazine off Airfix and they gave me a copy of this months model world and somewhere picked up another one so that,s 3 copies of November I've got as I subscribe.

Got told countless times that its illegal to get Tamiya fine glue and send paint through the post.

Picked up a book and said how much is this? when he said £10 instead of £35 ,I ripped it out his hand.

I was there for about 4 hours in all and thoroughly enjoyed it I would have loved to walk round again but I just couldn't because I knew I had to walk a mile back to the car.

Next time I'm going to get a mobility scooter and go round on that. And round and round.

So to sum up spent £50 walked 5 miles or more didn't get stuck in traffic.

    Happy chappie.

Was there from Friday for setup to Monday... got home exhausted but very happy. Apart from it being the best show so far, I won a prize:

The inaugural Gerry Anderson Memorial Trophy! Plus my Hurricane diorama featuring my Dad got a "Commended" in the Aircraft Diorama class against what I though was VERY stiff opposition so very pleased with that.

This was our stand in Hall 1:

I hope you will drive more slowly than two scooterists did on Saturday. Ran into me they did, both of them.
