    Fighter plane desert find

I don't know if anyone has posted this but having just seen it I thought I would put the link here.

A potentially good dio for a recreation?

The general concensus of the comments that follow the article indicate that it's a hoax ......

if that's true, it's pretty cruel to any surviving members of that pilot's family.

Having lived and worked in the middle east, I can attest to how quickly the shifting sands can cover & uncover anything out there.

I actually found the desert beautiful, thought provoking and very photogenic, however it could turn without warning, very much like the sea really!

I wonder just how much is still to be discovered out there!

It was not a hoax. The aircraft has since been moved and negotiations are under way to have it returned to the UK for display at Hendon.

So far as I know, authorities found a body less than three miles from the wreckage but have not bothered to take DNA tests to confirm whether or not it is F/S Copping.
