Bending plastic

I have to bend some tabs on my Hasegawa Fw190 flaps as they moulded them at 90 degrees instead of the maximum 60 degrees.

What's the best method to do this? I don't have access to a heat gun/paint stripper gun.

Do you have some some long nosed pliers? If so then you could try warming the pliers or the flaps and then gently bend use hot water first or heat the pliers via cooker or lighter-this way could melt the plastic so the hot water is the way to go first, do a quick bend then rewarm or the plastic will distort.

Score almost half way through with a scalpel then use capillary action to introduce some thin poly glue, this will weaken the join enough to bend to shape and then will harden the plastic when cured.

I did this by cutting and cleaning them off completely and making my own tabs from plastic card. Colin's method sounds a lot easier

Its how I've always made sharp corners when creating anything out of plastic card or sheet, always had good results.
