I don't think it fair to single people out like that but there has been some superb models posted on the forum. Just this year alone there are to many to keep tabs on.

Having said that, I think that I will only be stating the obvious if I say this.

What Ron can do with a tube of clear silicone never fails to amaze me.

We might not have all the "Pro-builders", like another site that several of us visit from time to time, but we are also pretty rivet counter free, which is a good thing. Believe me.

ian... we do need to single out the best. its like the debate about schoolkids who MUST get recognised for losing. this is a modellers forum and i for one will never slag anybodys work off... i will , however give praise to talented guys who deserve it.

That is very kind of you to pick my sunken U-boat as one of your personal favorites Rob. To me there are far better quality built and painted models that knock spots of anything I create. I suppose most of use are critical of their own work and think it could be better. Ian raises a good point regarding this site as 'rivet-counter' free. That is why I enjoy this site, nobody cares if your figures are googly eyed or you use a brush instead of a AB, it is all for the love of taking a plastic kit or scratch building something and having fun. Most on this site recognise this and respect this. Don't get me wrong there are some very, very, talented model makers on this site that turn a kit and a few brass parts into something spectacular, and for this achievement I applaud them, that is some serious skill and that too is what this forum needs, after all we do try and get tips and hints to improve our own builds. Besides if, like me, you just enjoy looking at the other great builds.
