    giant warplanes

    hey you aviation guys. check out the giant warplanes lancaster model and spot the delibrate mistakes. what a load of garbage not evev historically accurate!

      It's die cast and it's not great, but as a 617 Sqn.'special' it's not as bad a some are automatically assuming.

            It is a magazine edition IRC, it was issue one wasn't it at £1.99. So I suppose for that price it ain't that bad.

              Probably because the front turret has been deleted and masked over.

              In the photo you can see the special bomb sight (SABS) used by 617 squadron but not the plexiglass dome common to all Lancasters simply because it's not a great piccy.

              The mid upper turret has also been deleted and the bomb bay extensively modified to carry the special ordnance used by this unit late in the war.
