I wouldn't have thought there was a 'standard' size for barricades.

I'd guess the height of the pole above ground would be 3 - 4 ft (26 - 35mm in 1/35 scale). The length would be whatever was needed to block the road and the diameter would probably be about 2 - 4 inches (1.5 - 3.0mm in 1/35 scale). I'd guess you wouldn't want it to be more that 12 - 15 feet long at the maximum (105mm - 130mm in 1/35 scale).

To make the X-pieces give the correct height, if you assume that the X is all right angles then the cross-pieces would need to be 9 - 10mm length for 3 feet high and 5 - 6mm for 4 feet high - both in 1/35 scale.

      hi Gern

thank you, for your reply, you know i did try fo 2 hrs and Google it and all and could not come up with the sizes i needed,

I think that sounds about right as they do show as being about waist high, and a 45 d/angle is quick and eazy to make,

as why pay $ 15.00 for some think i can make have alot off trees in the yard

My apologies Monica, I'm a twit! Serves me right for trying to do things in a hurry. Only the gods know where I got my numbers from for your X pieces but they're sorta kinda wrong!

Your X pieces should be about 74mm long for a cross-bar height of 26mm and about 98mm long for a height of 35mm.

can you get a little clearer on ''barricades'' what kind are you looking for?

I know the Germans had standard sizes for some of them got some papers on them some where.

          Cheers Richi

hi Gern thats fine no reason to apologize, your only helping me out,

hi Richi, i was thing there would have to be a standard size for them but so hard to find

with a google that has a scene off humor ,

as what i can see off kit box,s is that the angle seems to be maybe about 30 d or so and they do seen

to have the cross bar at waist high ?
