    Gun camera footage.

I found ( this ) colour gun camera footage over Japan. I never realised the hitting power of the guns and rockets fitted to certain aircraft!

There is some serious low flying attacks on parked aircraft near the back end of the film. Shows attacks against aircraft-flying and stationary, buildings, boats, trains.

Please be aware that this shows graphic gun-camera action and therefore depicts acts in which people may have been killed so viewer discretion is advised.

Not glorifying the actions just found it interesting the amount of fire-power delivered in a short space of time.

Si, just to clarify the title in the link is a bit misleading. The film is not 'recently declassified' and much of it is from the ETO not the PTO. I spotted a few Luftwaffe types in there

    Good stuff though.

    Cheers

Thanks Steve, I did wonder at some of the aircraft as although I am not up on aircraft types some didn't seem all that Japanese.

Good job we have you around to clear stuff for us.

This one, from about the one minute mark?

I'm not sure, the nacelles seem to be over as well as under the wing like an Me 210/410. It also looks worryingly like a Mosquito

I did see some Fw 190s earlier.

                    Cheers

I checked again, it's at 1:01, going down in flames. Engine placement is right, shape is wrong. Not a 262.

Here's a grab of an image from 1.01.

I don't know, anyone care to hazard a guess?

                            Japanese perhaps?

If it is a Japanese twin aircraft could it be a Kawasaki KI-45 Toryu. Or a KI-48 Sokia. Or the prototype KI-96?
