How close do you want me ?

Got this in an email, enjoy.

A Royal Air Force Typhoon pilot drives up to a C-130 (HERCULES) a photo opportunity.

He radios "How much closer do you want me"

They radio "How much closer can you get ?".

    Pilot radios....."Close enough ?".

".....Or do you want me to come in ?"

You have to be a tad mad to be a Fighter pilot,

But even crazier to be a photographer looking into those big air intakes.

You know when I said I wanted to film typhoons from the air? This wasn't. What I had in mind!

Reminds me of walking in Wales and Tornado pilots 'following the terrain' at about 30ft, so close you could see them wave!

Especially when you are looking down on them.

My cousin has a farm in a valley near Brecon Beacons, frequently watched C130's and Chinnook's pass below us in the valley, (at night) well the nav lights anyway. But both the Herc & the Chinook have distinctive sounds so you could easily recognise them.

Best hope no one drops anything that scoots out the back ramp then.
