How Do You Guys Stop Your Paint From Drying Out?

Now that the wench has banished me from the kitchen, I have to do all my tinkering in the loft. In summer it gets sauna hot. After spending a couple of hundred quid on various diddy pots of paint, I have a fear that wwhen summer hits they will all be dry asabone within a week.

So hints and tips on dry out prevention would be most welcome..

Look seriously at a Velux loft window.

They are nowhere near as expensive as you may think and not only can you open them to give you air when you are up there but they can also allow ventilation when they are closed. Not to mention the extra light which is wonderfull.

I had one fitted to my last place and it cost about 400.00 quid.

If that is too much put your paints in a sealed, airtight container. They will only dry out if the solvent is allowed to evaporate. If they are in an airtight container they will remain in good condition.

Buy one of those mini-fridges, they cost £9 and hold 4 beer cans, pop the paints in that, set the thermostat?

Or just wack them in some tupperware and write "my lunch" on the top, then wack them in the fridge, the wife will never know...
