Sorry to offend anyone who likes that "facsimile baby" sort of stuff, but I just find the whole thing macabre. I mean it would be cold to touch and lifeless, like a dead baby, wouldn't it? It makes my skin crawl...

As for "20 minutes" in the sack - ah there's the voice of youth (and stamina) speaking.

I can't believe it went for that much' date=' I've attached a few pictures of the wife's once cost £85 and the other £140 I would happily sell the pair for £10k :dan1:[/quote']You should put them on Ebay.Theres another one there & its reached over £300 at the moment.

To replace them go here http://www.thegiftboutique.co.uk/index.html & buy some more with the profits.

They are only around the £100 mark.

Each to his own on this and I hear what you say, from a technical aspect it is a remarkable bit of modelling, after all the perfect baby doll has long been sought after by the doll manufacturers for the doll collectors, this one is just that bit special in that it attains artistic perfection in realism.

But when is perfect realism art? Why not get a baby in formaldihyde to put your shelf. This is a lifelike reconstruction of a human child, therefore one has to wonder to what ends this realism achieves. My wife thinks its creepy as hell too, so it cannot be just us blokes. Johns look like dolls (very good ones i might add). I know my models are toys for a bloke that aint grown up yet (I hope i never will) And also a great non creepy hobby.

One thing is still bugging me about the advert on ebay. Either all the bidders were anonymous or they were the same person creating an expensive market for their wares, or indeed trying to get publicity for the item.

There are many reasons for hiding ones identity on ebay, all of them bad ones.

tigertc, your latest avatar looks like Mrs Beeton ! I agree about those that hide their identity on E-bay,it should not be allowed, one of the darker aspects of this on-line auction.

Very interesting to compare the different emotions that this thread has created.

After re reading my last post, i realise i shouldnt post while Vodka'd.

Another modelling hornets nest has been opened.

I do feel however that as this is a scale models site, that the model in question should not be on here as it is a 1/1 representation and therefore a manequin or sculpture.

                      Yours sincerely,

Does that mean you think of her as a Baby, or Babe, as I believe attractive young ladies may be referred, or that you would rather enlist her services in the act of mutual gratification and procreation of the species?

                            Only a passing thought!

Although Ally McBeal/Callista Flockhart might be refereed to as a babe (more like bag of bones in my book), Squiffy's referring to the surreal dancing baby hallucination that Ally McBeal used to see from time to time (probably dancing to Barry White).

And your quite right, shes all bones and looks like shes about to snap in half! (also not exactly sane- she sees dancing babies!)

I think in one episode the baby actually attacks her with a spear, lol!
