    A total mess up resolved!

    I bought a heller 1/43 mini

Intended on a cream mini with a black roof.

In my haste i used a hair dryer to dry the paint and glue not realising how soft the old airfix plastic is!

    Had a complete meltdown

But managed to rescue it i think

I went for the old battered barn find that someones crashed and well just neglected it

Great way to salvage a damaged kit. I've been tempted to do the same thing to my own "mistakes" in the past as well.

Still, I think you captured the essence of a car that's be run into a barn by a drunk driver, and just left there to rot. Very convincing.

Why can't I come up with ingenious fixes like this? Mine seem to end up as BB targets for my boys.

That's a great build if you hadn't mentioned the disaster I would still have thought it a great build so that just makes it even more impressive
