    Scotland visited

Well well, now we're back home in Finland after an absolutely wonderful holiday in Edinburgh. Unbelievable city! Nice people, much to see, good whisky, good beer, nice shopping(says my wife) and so on...

Hopefully we'll be able to travel to Scotland again in the close future.

    Rocking regards Janne

Glad you had a great time. Sorry i couldn't arrange anything for you. It's a beautiful country (when the midgies aren't out)

Edinburgh! A lovely place. I only spent three days there but what a great time I had. Not the cheapest but great whisky, food and sites. I stayed in a cheapish hotel, but a really nice bar (plus bar maides) and a great scottish fry up each morning. Went on a ghost walk around town and the cemetry, and a whole day round the castle. really nice friendly people and thoroughly enjoyed it. Would recommend to anyone.

Edinburghs a lovely city, upon a city, upon a city etc etc and is steeped in history, very multicultural and vast amounts to do. It's the only city i've ever visited that holds a measure of fascination for me.

If you want to really see Scotland though you need to take a month and preferably a campervan and head north to the Highlands.

If you come further north (at least 3 hours driving) you might even get chance to meet me lol. And i might be able to take you on a quick unofficial tour of the distillery i work at

I live just on the edge of Edinburgh, in a little old mining town at the foot of the Pentland Hills.... wonderful atmosphere!!

I agree with Allyne though, after visiting the cities you really need to get out into the countryside and see the hills, lochs, the highlands and the wildlife .. it's breathtaking
