Not done much modelling lately, as been busy with personal stuff.
Today on returning from a hospital appointment for my elderly mother, found some gutless low-life has stolen my disabled wife's mobility scooter from our home while we were there.
Being in a communal block of 4 one bedroomed flats, we had to leave it in the communal area just outside our front door as the flats are very small.
We have two really great neighbours that are very supportive, and one drug addled moron who thinks it his right to leave all the communal doors open, for his dog to wander wherever it wants.
Several months ago we caught him with one of our other neighbours computer, which he had placed on the floor outside his flat while he was moving some furniture. He openly admitted he had it, but as it was on the floor he thought it had been thrown away, and anyway it wasn't any good so he can have it back.
He and his cronies come and go at all times of day and night and don't give a hoot to anyone else. The communal area stinks of dog and hash all the time, and although all this has been reported to both the council and the police, (who visit regularly) he is still here. When confronted about items going missing, he always comes back with the comment it's opportunists.
The fact that he and his cronies are the ones who leave the place insecure doesn't seem to register. (or maybe it does)
We have a good idea who the guilty party is but just can't prove it.
The police have made it clear that as the communal area was insecure, it would be impossible to prove who has taken the scooter. The insurance company haven't responded as yet, but have intimated the same about not being in a secure area.
The said police will visit in the next 2-4 days to take a statement!!
Just gutted for my wife who often has to rely on it when her condition is flaring up.
One up side is the response on some of my Local Face-Book sites after posting the photo's of the missing scooter. The positive support has been amazing from complete strangers, just proves there are some really good people out there.
Sorry for the rant, just had to get it off my chest before I blow!
