                  Cheers Jim. That’s a combination of the under shading and a gentle touch with the top coats, nothing more complicated. Soot stains were ground up pastel chalk put on by brush, by the way.

                    Cheers Geoff. Looks OK doesn’t it….not so great close up, though the rougher finish helped the weathering chalks take to the surface.
