Maybe it's not such a good idea to watch The Battle of Britain on telly. I'll end up buying a pile of Heinkels and Messerschmidts. On the bench: Airfix 1/48 Sea King HC4, Revell 1/24 Trabant.
Coming soon: Airfix 1/72 Phantom FGR2.
Just finished: Airfix 1/48 Stuka & Airfix 1/72 Sea King HC4.

Very nice Rick. The pair on the shelf will look the part.

Look at the lines on that aircraft . Designed in the mid thirties. Just unbelievable. The really elegant wings and purposeful tail.

Both kites have been masked and primed with Vallejo Model Air 71.047 US Grey for the underside applied. I got carried away and did both aircraft before realising I would have to do D-Day stripes on one. Hopefully spraying white over grey won't be too tricky(!).

Definitely a contender for the best looking WWII 'plane Laurie - especially seeing the nice job Rick's doing so far.Originally posted by \Very nice Rick. Very nice Rick very nice finishes going on here.

Yes you are right Gern. The Dakota is a very pleasing design. Very similar in a lot of respects to the Wellington which I chose.
