It certainly helps to see where youve sprayed Neil! as for the depth it does give different effects depending how thinly its coated . One of the main reasons I did it was so the panel lines would maybe stand out a bit more , as I didnt rescribe them , we'll have to wait and see if it works! cheers tony

That's a very nice finish you've got there Tony - spraying metallics is not something I've ever been successful with Comment

Cheers patrick , these modelair metallics seem to suit me , i used to dread nmf too , but these are quite painless -as long as you leave them enough time to dry theyre fairly robust , cheers tonyOriginally posted by \That's a very nice finish you've got there Tony - spraying metallics is not something I've ever been successful with Comment

Well after getting the basic silver on this ones been sat in the corner frightening me ! But after seeing Jasons (wendall) superb Lightning it inspired me to grasp the nettle and start the tricky masking and spraying of the different shaded panels. I started with the engine pods as these have a few different shades , and gave the panels various gunmetal shades followed by a misting of brown and further mists with transparent blue mixed with gunmetal. I'm quite happy with the way its turned out , next is the different shades on the airframe , and theres lots ! cheers tony cheers tony

Well ive made a start on the myriad different shaded panels . One of the most noticeable and thus the first to be tackled was the two light grey/silver areas on the raised bits on the wing top . Next i did the ailerons and rudder in a darker shade of silver but its dried a very subtle shade , not easily seen. Theres loads more to do so more updates as they get done , cheers tony
