Hi Colin I have one of these built from a few years back and they are great kits Tamiya is still the market leader in quality. it went together really nicely no problems if I remember correctly, good luck and i'll be watching this build to see what you are going to do with it.

Quick update guys
I have decided that I'm going to build my king tiger without zimmeritt
So last night I cracked on with the running gear and the inside of the turret

Just a thought Colin, if you don't want to wrestle the Tamiya rubber band tracks into shape, there is an inexpensive option with Hobbyboss individual track links.

Hi guys
A quick update on my build I've assembled the lower hull,turret,gun and road wheels.I'm waiting for the maybach and some photo etch to arrive before I make a start on the upper hull
I've already primed the completed parts and applied a NATO black base coat
